Our Fleet: In A Class of Its Own

As soon as you step into an aircraft within M & N Aviation’s fleet, you will know that you have entered a new level of charter service travel. With the newest fleet of aircraft in the Rocky Mountain Region, M & N Aviation offers a comprehensive collection of aircraft to accommodate the needs of regional and transcontinental travelers.

Safety

M&N has been regularly audited by safety inspectors from ARG/US (Air Research Group / United States) and currently holds Platinum status renewable May 22, 2009.  M&N is also one of eighty ISBAO (International Council of Business Aviation Operators) certified operators in the world and audited by the Flight Safety Foundation, renewable September 1, 2009.  M&N has received a “recommended” rating from Wyvern, a third outside auditor, on April 18, 2007 as well.  At all times, there are at least 2 current external audits of the company.

The Safety Management System is well developed at M&N including hazard tracking, and as a rule, two 2-day safety stand-downs per year involving all flight department personnel.

Company directors are continually updating M&N aircraft to ensure operation of state-of-the-art equipment.  All of the aircraft are in transition process to “paperless cockpits” by use of IFIS (Integrated Flight Instrumentation System) for better pilot situational awareness.

Pilots and Flight Department

The flight department management has substantial experience in the industry.

  1. Director of Operations: 20 years: 10,500 aircraft flight hours
  2. Chief Pilot: 35 years: 18,000 flight hours;
  3. Assistant Director of Operations: 16 years: 8000 hours
  4. Director of Safety: 40 years: 17,000 hours
  5. Director of Maintenance: 20 years experience working on high performance aircraft in the United States Marine Corps and civilian aviation and is also a pilot for the operation.

All pilot training is industry “best practices.” All pilots are scheduled using a “fatigue mitigation” schedule rotation of 7 days on duty and 7 days off.  The schedule is intended to ensure lifestyle balance, pilot retention, improved tenure, and substantial “in-type” experience in the cockpit.  Further, the intention is to have pilots report for duty rested, sharp, and enthusiastic about flight safety.   All M&N pilots have been through the altitude chamber and survivor training conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration in Oklahoma City.

Maintenance

All M&N aircraft are maintained to impeccable standards utilizing progressive care maintenance programs and all maintenance items and requirements are tracked through the AvTracs computer software program.  AvTracs continuously interfaces with FOS (Flight Operations System) scheduling software to flag both maintenance personnel and schedulers should any maintenance issue potentially affect dispatch of a trip.  Only certified “factory approved parts” are utilized in any replacement or repair.

M&N Aviation has three maintenance technicians based in Casper but heavy maintenance is always done at factory approved service centers.  The maintenance technicians are trained at factory approved training locations on all three types of aircraft. M&N technicians also attend recurrent training every other year.
