M&N Aviation is participating in several marketing events over the next few months and hope to see many of you there!   We have committed to the following events as of February 2011:

  

Aviation Saves...2011∙ June 10 - 11, 2011

Aviation Saves is a local grassroots campaign championing the unparalleled benefits of the private aircraft industry and its role in our community.  This educational experience is complete with a large static display including aircraft and exhibits about firefighting, traffic monitoring, border protection, business flying, law enforcement, patient transport, humanitarian flying and more.  Local residents and aviation professionals will be in attendance to shed light on the vast impact aviation has on a local, statewide, and national level.

Denver Polo Classic ∙ June 24 - 26, 2011

 

The 24th Annual Schomp BMW Denver Polo Classic Weekend is three days of exciting entertainment that benefits children's charities. Polo weekend will take place at the exclusive Polo Reserve Development.  Set against the spectacular backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, under the signature white tent, patrons and guests of the Schomp BMW Denver Polo Classic will enjoy exquisite wines and champagnes, a sampling of the region's finest beers, gourmet food from some of the finest restaurants in Denver.

 

Jackson Hole Wine Auction ∙ July 1 - 2, 2011

The 17th annual Jackson Hole Wine Auction will celebrate Grand Teton Music Festival's 50^th Anniversary with two days of exciting festivities on July 1- 2, 2011. The weekend begins with a dinner held at the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole for Music Festival patrons and food and wine enthusiasts. The event will feature Château Haut-Brion H.R.H. Prince Robert of Luxembourg on hand to present his winery's top selections. Chefs Jean François Bruel of DANIEL, New York City and Michel Richard of Citronelle, Washington, D.C. to create a dinner specifically paired with the award-winning current release and library wines of Château Haut-Brion.

Grand Teton Music Festival ∙ July 2 - August 20, 2011

Since its inception in 1962, the Grand Teton Music Festival has earned the reputation as one of the most important summer music festivals in the country. In addition to the Festival's summer season and a series of winter concerts, year-round education and outreach programming has become an integral part of the Festival's mission. These programs reach more than 12,000 young students, musicians, and adults each year.

Vince Gill & Amy Grant Golf Classic ∙ August 1 - 11, 2011

Challenge Aspen is a non-profit organization dedicated to impacting lives by offering meaningful recreational, cultural and competitive experiences to individuals faced with cognitive or physical challenges.  For seven years, the Vince Gill & Amy Grant Golf Classic has been an overwhelming success for Challenge Aspen as the cornerstone of its annual fundraising efforts. The event is hosted by Grammy® Award winners Vince Gill and Amy Grant, and PGA Pro Fred Funk in participation with other PGA Tour Pros, friends of Vince and Amy, champions of the National Amputee Golf Association and disabled veterans. Featuring two days of musical and golf excellence, the Classic has provided an unforgettable experience for supporters of this important cause, beginning with a spectacular evening of culinary delights and entertainment featuring a cocktail reception, seated dinner and live auction with eight one-of-a-kind luxury packages.

Due to market conditions, M&N Aviation will be instituting a fuel surcharge on our entire fleet of aircraft beginning March15, 2011.  This fuel surcharge will not impact our current block hour customers.  M&N Aviation has strongly resisted implementing this additional charge, however, the current volatility of the Jet A fuel market has forced us to implement a surcharge as we move toward uncertain economic conditions.  We will continue to closely monitor the impact of rising fuel costs and strive to keep the impact of those costs from affecting our clients.

 

Beginning March 15th, the following surcharges will be in effect for our fleet:

• PC12 - $125.00 / Hour
• Hawker 800XP - $350.00 / Hour
• Hawker 900XP - $350.00 / Hour
• Challenger 300 - $500.00 / Hour

One of the many sources we use to track this volatility is the International Air Transport Association's Jet Fuel Price Monitor.  Each week IATA updates its jet fuel price index to provide the latest price data from the leading energy information provider Platts.  The weekly index and price data shows the global average price paid at the refinery for aviation jet fuel.  We have included this weeks index as an example of this uncertainty.

M&N Aviation will be conducting its annual safety stand-down on July 12^th and 13^th.  Unique among charter operators, M&N suspends all flight operations for this two day event and brings together the entire company in one location to renew our company wide commitment to safety initiatives.  This year's event will be held at the Inverness Hotel and Convention Center in Denver.  In addition to company procedures, our safety officer has arranged for several distinguished guest speakers to address our employees and guest flight departments.  This year's speakers include the following:

 

 Rick Rowe, Chief Pilot, Bombardier Learjet Demo Team, Director of Bombardier's Annual Safety Stand-down and Janet Schiebelhut, Bombardier Safety Stand-down Administrator.

 

Tony Kern, CEO, Convergent Performance, and noted Safety Expert and author of "Flight Discipline" and "Redefining Airmanship".

 

Story Musgrave, former astronaut, test pilot and NASA safety director.

 

Christopher Hart, NTSB Vice-Chairman.
